Board Meeting

The Centre offers technical advice and project management in all areas of waste management. We will assemble the best resources and individuals to address client needs, making them available on a per-diem or fixed-fee basis.

  • Strategic waste management planning—how to design wastewater and solid waste systems that are sustainable for the long term and are tailored to the needs of the community
  • Developing integrated waste systems—how to improve the quality of effluent for reuse or to protect river systems
  • Wastewater Treatment—how to improve the quality of effluent for reuse or to protect river systems
  • Environmental monitoring—how to control illegal discharge of industrial waste into wastewater and solid waste systems
  • Design of efficient collection systems—how to develop cost-effective wastewater and solid waste collection systems ad keep them functioning
  • Social marketing and behaviour change—how to sustain community support and participation in existing and new systems

Development of a Biosolids management plan for the Edmonton Region

 EWMCE has been recruited to enhance current bioaolids managament operations in the Edmonton region by developing a multi-basket new strategy. For this purpose various options are being studied under the auspieces of Alberta Environment. One of the beneficial use options being studied is the use of biosolids in mine reclamation.
