Best wishes to everyone for 2008! As we move into the New Year there is great cause for optimism that it will see exciting developments for our Centre, and I look forward to working with both established and new partners as we continue to expand our activities.
One area that will definitely grow is our training and educational activity. We have been very fortunate in recruiting Ms. Lucy Rachynski to head up this area for us, and I know that her considerable expertise and experience will have a very positive effect on the continuing development of our Wastewater Operator Training Program as well as training initiatives in solid waste management.

As the year unfolds we invite you to take full advantage of what the Centre has to offer: Come and join us at one of our At-the-Centre seminars; take in our Waste-The Social Context '08 conference in May; share your research ideas and explore possible cooperation with us, and don't hesitate to contact us if you need assistance with technology development and demonstration.
